Since its inception in August 1999, Magicef has widened the scope of its mission. Many parents in Kwasi’s village had forgone to enroll their children in school because of financial hardship. As a result, the enrollment rate plummeted. After the program was established however, the school immediately noticed a substantial spike in registrations.
